Silvia Balbo

Silvia studies mechanisms of chemical carcinogenesis deriving from environmental and lifestyle-related exposures. Using cutting-edge Mass Spectrometry-based methods, she is developing innovative approaches to investigate the interactions between the exposome and DNA. Her work aims to understand cancer aetiology and to provide new opportunities to identify people at risk and to improve the prevention, detection, and treatment of cancer.
