Federica Valsecchi

Federica (Fede) Valsecchi is a patient advocate and founder of Fondazione Nadia Valsecchi, with a strong commitment to raising awareness and supporting research for pancreatic cancer. Her work began after losing her mother Nadia to the disease, an experience that exposed her to how sudden, aggressive, and overwhelming pancreatic cancer can be for patients and families. She saw how little time there is, how many questions go unanswered, and how alone people often feel. Rather than stepping away, she chose to step in.  

With a background in science, Fede understood that the only way to change outcomes is through research. In Italy, through her foundation, she supports research while also helping patients better understand their disease through clear communication and education. More recently, she launched the foundation in the United States to expand this mission and strengthen international collaboration. Through advocacy, awareness, and connection, Fede works to ensure that patients are informed, supported, and empowered.
