Meet David, Emeritus Chair, Cancer Grand Challenges Scientific Committee, Karolinska Institute
David Lane is a molecular biologist and one of the world’s foremost cancer biologists and researchers. His most notable success was the co-discovery of the p53 protein, which has a vital role in the body’s defence against cancer. David is a research scientist at Karolinska Institute and was formally Chief Scientist of CRUK and Chair of the Cancer Grand Challenges Scientific Committee. Today he works on tumour suppressor genes and drug discovery.
