Dr Gianmarco Piccinno

Dr Gianmarco Piccinno is a postdoctoral researcher in the lab of Prof. Nicola Segata at University of Trento (Italy) and a member of Team PROSPECT. His research focuses on the characterization of microbiome’s alterations in cancer, with particular focus on colorectal cancer, and cancer therapy response. His focus spans statistical and machine learning approaches applied to metagenomics and functional and strain-level microbial characterization. He obtained his PhD in Biomolecular Sciences at University of Trento.
