Dr. Florencia Cidre-Aranaz is the deputy Division Head of the Division of Translational Pediatric Sarcoma Research at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) and Hopp-Children’s Cancer Center (KiTZ) in Heidelberg, Germany. She is a biotechnologist with 12 years of experience in the field of fusion-driven pediatric solid tumors, and leads a team focused on understanding the mechanisms of cancer progression and metastasis.
Her team implements systems biology approaches integrating multi-omics data and clinical information with functional in vitro and in vivo experiments to identify treatable vulnerabilities in pediatric sarcomas that can be exploited to develop targeted therapies for pediatric fusion-drive solid tumors.
