Dr David Scott
Meet David, Director of Cancer Grand Challenges
David is accountable for Cancer Grand Challenges' strategic development and overall delivery, and has been responsible for the initiative since its inception. He has over 20 years’ experience in research funding and management.
Before his current role, he held a number of other leadership roles in Cancer Research UK’s Research and Innovation directorate, including director of discovery research. Prior to joining Cancer Research UK, David worked at Imperial College London and the Wellcome Trust. David is also the executive director of American Friends of Cancer Research Inc., a US based 501 not for profit that works with Cancer Research UK to support Cancer Grand Challenges.
David holds a PhD in Physiology and Biophysics from the University of London.
