About

The Cancer Research Institute (CRI) is the preeminent U.S. nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing cancer immunotherapy through rigorous research and global collaboration. Since 1953, CRI has helped uncover the fundamental biology of the immune system and translate those discoveries into transformative cancer treatments, laying the groundwork for breakthroughs such as checkpoint blockade, cancer vaccines, and engineered cell therapies. Guided by a world-renowned Scientific Advisory Council that includes five Nobel laureates and 35 members of the National Academy of Sciences, CRI has invested more than $570 million to support leading immunologists and tumour immunologists at top medical centres and universities worldwide. CRI-funded research has contributed to many of the pivotal discoveries demonstrating immunotherapy’s power to redefine cancer treatment and improve patient outcomes.
